Darlene is responsible for advising the network of companies participating in the MAT2 Apprenticeship Program and forging new relationships to build capacity throughout Michigan. She works closely with the other apprenticeship staff to provide overall support for the program. Before joining the MAT2 team, she managed a multicultural GED program in Detroit, developed a “College and Career” track within the program, and redesigned the volunteer training. She has also developed and managed conferences and courses in plastics manufacturing and co-founded an electrical contracting company. She has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Spanish.
