The MAT² Apprenticeship Program provides apprentices with hands-on, paid work experience and a debt-free associate degree, and, ultimately, a path to a career in high-tech manufacturing.
Apprentices don’t need previous manufacturing experience, but there are traits that apprentices must demonstrate to be successful in the program.
“When we look for applicants in the MAT² Program, we look for applicants that have an interest in technology and are interested in learning and figuring things out,” said Sophie Stepke, Training Manager at ZF Group North American Operations.
Current MAT² Apprentices share that asking questions and being eager to learn as well as having a hard work ethic will go a long way in the program.
“One of the consistent factors we see in apprentice success is wanting to know how things work and figuring out how to solve problems,” said Virginia Rounds, Director, MAT² Apprenticeship Program.
